The Repeater is designed to amplify the signal from your TPMS system sensors. In situations where length or interference prevents your monitor from receiving a signal, the Repeater increases the sensors' transmitting distance. It used to be easy, and around 50 feet was a general rule we would follow when considering adding a Repeater/Booster. Today though vehicles have so many electronics in the engine compartment and dash that they can cause interference. As well as the structure of the frame, the number of slides and metal on many of the new rigs of all styles can also be a factor. So you can get interference for issues other than distance. Systems will typically read fine parked, you won't see the interference until about 20-30 minutes into the trip.

The Booster is recommended for Rigs over 50 ft or when a combination of Rig and Tow Vehicle exceeds 50 ft, and the size of the vehicle and excessive metal may obstruct signal reception. Keep in mind that electronic interference can cause a drop in signal on much shorter rigs.
